Social Activities

Besides educational services, the organization is leading in social service activities also.

Following activities are being conducted by the organization with the contribution and support of the donors.

MEDICAL SERVICES
EYE CHECK-UP AND DIAGNOSIS CAMP

FREE OF COST EYE CHECK-UP AND DIAGNOSIS CAMP is being organized every two months in the organization with the support of DhirajlalParamanand Desai Charitable Trust, Mumbai District Blindness Control Committee, Amreli and Shivanand Mission, Viranagar. Till today more than 103 such camps have been organized.

In these camps free of cost diagnosis and check-up of the patients and all types of eye-related operations including cataract with free of cost stay and meals for the patients are being provided.

FREEDOM FROM SPECTACLES SHIBIR:

In the year 2002, the organization had organized a seven-day residential Freedom from Spectacles Shibir wherein numbers of eyes were got reduced and/or removed through various exercises of Yoga. About  492 patients of the whole of Gujarat had participated in this Shibir.

OTHER SERVICES

The organization has been rendering various social services hand in hand with the Government at the time of natural calamities such earthquake, heavy rains and during the human-generated calamities.

At the time of the earthquake of the year 2001, the organization had sent trucks loaded with grans, clothes and other essential things to Kutch.

At the time of floods in Surat thousands of food packets were sent immediately under the guidance of the organization.

At the time of drought the organization had opened free cattle camps at three places.

At the time of drought and Tsunami the organization had provided temporary shelter to so many people and had made available stay and meals free of cost.

During the water conservation campaign in the year 2003 the organization had got prepared three check-dams.

Time and again clothes, grains, medicines etc. essential things are being distributed by the organization to the needy people with the support of the donors.

ACTIVITIES NOURISHING AND ENCOURAGING PATRIOTISM

The organization has been celebrating national festivals like 15th August, 26th January, World Environment Day and Teachers’ Day with great fervor and enthusiasm.

At the time of 51st Van Mahotsav, more than 600 trees were planted under the guidance of the organization.

The organization had done noteworthy and commendable work for AIDS Awareness for two years under School Adolescent Programmes.

At present the organization has been conducting activity of BalUrjaRakshak Dal.
